Honda Cars India is planning to roll out the third-generation Amaze in 2024. Despite being on the market for almost five years, the current Amaze only received a minor mid-life modification in 2021. The new-gen model is anticipated to get a modified version of the existing platform, which may also underpin Honda's upcoming mid-size SUV. In terms of exterior design, the new Amaze is expected to mirror the recent Honda sedans, such as the latest-generation City and even the new Accord sold overseas. The next-generation version of the sedan's interior will reportedly have the same free-standing touchscreen infotainment system as the new Accord and the HR-V SUV. Overall, the new Amaze is expected to sport design elements that will bring it in direct competition with its rivals in India. When launched, the upcoming Amaze will continue to compete against vehicles like the recently updated Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, and others.

Talking about the engine, the new model will not be available with a diesel option, unlike the current Amaze. Instead, a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, which also powers the current version, will come with the new Honda Amaze. This engine produces 89bhp and 110Nm and comes mated to either a CVT or a 5-speed manual transmission.
