Honda Amaze

According to the current industry reports, the third-generation Honda Amaze will now make its global debut in December 2024, instead of October during the festive season as expected. The updated sedan will be based on a modified version of the platform used in the Honda City and the Elevate. However, compared to the City sedan (2,600mm) and the Elevate SUV (2,650mm), the third-gen Amaze will likely have a shorter wheelbase. The revised model's exterior design is expected to be inspired by the new Accord sold abroad and the India-spec City. Its interior is likely to include a larger, standalone touchscreen, similar to the Honda Elevate. For those unaware, the existing iteration of the Amaze is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Honda Amaze: Engine

The sedan's drivetrain will likely remain the same post the update, with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine combined with either a CVT automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual. This unit produces 90bhp and 110Nm.

Honda Amaze: Rivals and Price

Upon its launch, the third-gen Honda Amaze will renew its rivalry with the Tata Tigor, the Hyundai Aura, and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. It is expected to command a higher price than the existing iteration, which is priced between Rs 7.20 lakh and Rs 9.96 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
