Hyundai expands Creta Electric in India with new Excellence, Executive Tech and Executive (O) variants, adding features, battery options, colours and ADAS safety.

Hyundai has expanded the Creta Electric line-up in India by introducing three new variants: Excellence, Executive Tech and Executive (O). The update adds more choice in terms of pricing, features and battery capacity, strengthening its position in the growing mid-size EV segment. The new trims bring in wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an integrated dashcam and a rear wireless phone charger. On the safety front, the Creta Electric now benefits from Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Buyers also have the option of fresh colour choices, including Matte Black and Shadow Grey.

Prices for the refreshed Creta Electric start at Rs 18.02 lakh, going up to Rs 24.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The Executive (O), equipped with the larger 51.4kWh battery, begins at RS 19.99 lakh and offers a range of 510km on a single charge. The Excellence variant, on the other hand, comes with the smaller pack (42 kWh Battery Pack and 420 km on a single charge) and is priced at Rs 21.29 lakh. The Executive Tech with 42 kWh Battery Pack, which adds extra features, is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

There are no changes under the skin, power output remains between 133bhp and 169bhp, with 200Nm of torque on tap. Features such as multi-level regenerative braking and the i-PEDAL one-pedal driving mode make it more convenient in stop-start city traffic. Boot space is rated at 433 litres, sufficient for both daily use and long trips.

The Creta Electric supports fast and home charging options. Using a 50kW DC fast charger, the larger 51.4kWh battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in about 58 minutes, making it suitable for quick top-ups during travel or long commutes. At home, the 11kW AC charger can replenish the battery fully in just under five hours.

With these additions, Hyundai aims to make the Creta Electric more versatile and accessible for Indian buyers, further broadening its appeal in the competitive electric SUV space.
