Hyundai appears to be gearing up for an update to its performance-inspired compact SUV, as the second-gen Venue N-Line has been spotted testing for the first time in South Korea. The prototype, seen with camouflage, hints at possible design enhancements and feature updates over the current model. While specific details remain under wraps, the refreshed Venue N-Line is expected to retain its sporty appeal with unique styling elements and possibly revised mechanicals. This overseas sighting suggests Hyundai is in the advanced stages of development ahead of an official global launch. Given the popularity of the N-Line variant in markets like India, the updated version could be poised to strengthen Hyundai’s presence in the sporty compact SUV segment once it hits showrooms.

New Hyundai Venue N-Line: Expected Design and Feature Updates

The upcoming Venue N-Line facelift stays true to its signature boxy shape but gains a host of bold design revisions aimed at enhancing its sporty persona. The front is dominated by a significantly larger grille, occupying most of the face, while the lighting setup receives a revamp with fresh LED headlamp clusters and DRLs that also serve as turn indicators. A sportier, more sculpted front bumper is also expected, offering a more assertive look than the regular Venue.

At the rear, the South Korean carmaker is expected to introduce connected LED taillamps to modernise the look. Dual exhaust outlets – carried forward from the current version – preserve its aggressive vibe, while the red trim has now shifted to the roof rails, adding a striking contrast higher up.

Though much of the side remains camouflaged, some key elements stand out. These include a prominent N-Line badge on the fender and new five-spoke alloy wheels featuring an N logo on the centre cap. Red highlights near the wheel arches and painted brake callipers add a performance-inspired flair.

The cabin will likely continue to emphasise its aggressive and sporty identity through red detailing and contrast-stitched upholstery. One of the most notable upgrades could be the addition of Level-2 ADAS – an improvement over the current basic safety suite. A radar spotted in test mules hints at the inclusion of adaptive cruise control, blind spot alerts, and advanced lane-keeping functions.

Features like front ventilated seats and a larger infotainment unit may also be added. Hyundai is also expected to retune the suspension and braking systems to sharpen overall handling and responsiveness.

New Hyundai Venue N-Line: Powertrain

Mechanically, the facelifted Venue N-Line is expected to retain the tried-and-tested 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which produces 118bhp and 172Nm of torque, mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT.

The updated Venue N-Line will likely be priced above the current version, which begins at Rs 12.15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to cater to enthusiasts seeking a performance-flavoured compact SUV, rivalling the likes of the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
