New Hyundai Verna garners over 7,000 bookings

Since the launch of the all-new Hyundai Verna, 7,000 bookings have been registered by the manufacturer.

Hyundai Motor India Limited launched the latest generation Hyundai Verna on August 22, 2017. The manufacturer now claims that they have registered over 7,000 bookings for their new sedan offering. Additionally, 70,000 inquiries are being reported, while Hyundai claims that the first 10,000 units of the new Verna will be delivered before the festive season (Diwali).

Commenting on the bookings, Mr. YK Koo, MD & CEO, HMIL said, “We are overwhelmed with strong customer response and appreciation for the Next Gen Verna within 10 days of its launch. The new Verna is built on Hyundai’s new K2 platform, on which the larger Elantra is also based. Hyundai claims that the new Verna features a super body structure frame built with 50 per cent advanced high strength steel for added rigidity and safety. The Verna is offered with 1.6-litre, four-cylinder petrol, and diesel engines both of which comes with 6-speed manual transmissions as standard. A 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox in an option offered for both engine variants.

The Hyundai Verna goes competes against the Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, Fiat Linea, and the Ciaz from Maruti Suzuki.
