The Mini Cooper S Convertible has been launched in India at a price of Rs 58.50 lakh (ex-showroom), and is available in a single trim.

Mini has launched the new Cooper in its convertible avatar in India, with prices starting from Rs 58.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Cooper Convertible is a cooler version of the standard Mini Cooper, and you can go from roof to no roof in about 18 seconds. The new Mini Convertible is available in a single trim – Cooper S Convertible – and comes with Mini’s Favoured Pack. It commands a premium of Rs 6.5 lakh over the standard Cooper S.
Powering the Cooper S Convertible is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 201bhp of maximum power and 300Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Mini claims a top speed of 240kmph, and a 0-100kmph time of 6.9 seconds. Notably, the Cooper S Convertible gets a claimed mileage of 16.39kmpl.
Speaking of dimensions, the ‘Mini’ Cooper S Convertible measures 3,879mm in length, 1,744mm in width (excluding ORVMs), 1,431mm in height, and comes with a wheelbase of 2,495mm.

The car sits on 18-inch alloy wheels, and is available in a choice of four exterior colours – Sunny Side Yellow, British Racing Green, Chilli Red, and Ocean Wave Green. There’s a dual-tone beige and grey fabric dashboard, with two options for the interior upholstery – Vescin Beige and Vescin Nightshade Blue.

There are two options for the alloy wheel design as well. You can further customise various bits on the car such as the soft top roof theme and mirror caps.
Specced with the ‘Favoured Pack’, the Cooper S Convertible gets features like a central OLED touchscreen infotainment system, parking assist, TPMS, cruise control, powered seats, head-up display, Harman Kardon sound system, and more. It gets a three-spoke sport steering wheel with a high-tension fabric band as the third spoke.

Bookings for the new Cooper Convertible have already begun, and deliveries are expected to start soon.
