The all-new Renault Duster is set to launch in India on March 17, 2026, marking its return to the country’s highly competitive SUV segment. The model has already made its debut, and now the major question is how Renault will position it price-wise in India. The 5-seater SUV was priced between Rs 9.86 lakh and Rs 14.25 lakh (ex-showroom) before it was discontinued in 2022. The new-generation model, featuring sharper styling, updated features, and a new 1.8-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine, is expected to be competitively priced from around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). With the official price announcement just around the corner, here’s a look at the key highlights of Renault’s much-anticipated SUV.

The new Duster will offer the option of a strong-hybrid for the first time in India, which combines a 1.8-litre petrol engine, a 48bhp electric motor, and a 19.7bhp starter generator. This setup produces 158bhp and 172Nm. That said, Renault will launch this version around Diwali 2026.

The SUV will also be available with a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine (161bhp, 280Nm) with either a 6-speed manual or DCT, and a smaller 1.0-litre turbo unit (99bhp, 160Nm) mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The new Duster retains its instantly recognisable silhouette but adopts several modern styling elements. These include slim, arched LED daytime running lights that also act as indicators, silver bumper accents, and a bold ‘Duster’-branded grille. Along the sides, the SUV boasts thick body cladding, and 18-inch alloy. Meanwhile, the rear end is highlighted by a full-width LED light bar and a sporty roof spoiler.
The Duster's cabin packs leatherette seats, a floating touchscreen, and a digital instrument cluster, a 6-way power-adjustable ventilated front seat, an adjustable front armrest, a rear armrest with cupholders, dual-zone auto AC, a panoramic sunroof, and a 6-speaker Arkamys sound system. For safety, the SUV has six airbags, ESC, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, rain-sensing wipers, all-wheel disc brakes, rear parking sensors, and ADAS.
