Toyota has revealed the new bZ Woodland, a battery-electric SUV aimed at buyers who want more ground clearance and all-wheel drive from the brand’s bZ line-up. Based on the e-TNGA platform, the SUV sits above the standard bZ and brings a longer body, higher ride height and a dual-motor setup as standard. Production is scheduled for 2026, with sales to begin in the United States and Canada later in the year. Toyota plans to expand its electric SUV range in key markets, and the bZ Woodland forms a key part of that push. The model arrives with updates to size, traction systems and utility features, giving it a focus on mixed road and trail use while still delivering the range and charging support expected from a modern electric SUV.

Toyota has added roof rails, underbody protection and optional all-terrain tyres to suit trail use. The SUV rides on 18-inch wheels as standard, with 20-inch units offered on higher trims. Suspension and steering have been tuned for both highway drives and rough tracks.
The SUV features a 14-inch touchscreen running Toyota’s latest multimedia system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard. The cabin also includes a digital instrument display, dual wireless charging pads and several USB-C ports. With the rear seats folded, cargo space goes beyond 2096 litre.

Higher trims bring heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic glass roof and an upgraded audio system. Toyota Safety Sense driver-assistance systems are standard across the range.
Power comes from two electric motors producing a combined 372bhp and driving all four wheels. The setup includes X-Mode traction control and downhill assist control. A 74.7kWh lithium-ion battery offers an estimated range of up to 452km on standard tyres, or about 418km with all-terrain tyres.

The SUV supports DC fast charging through a North American Charging Standard port and can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in around 30 minutes in suitable conditions. Battery pre-conditioning and Plug and Charge are included.
