New Volkswagen Beetle bookings commence in India

Volkswagen India has started taking bookings for the new Beetle at Rs. 1 lakh

The launch of the new Volkswagen Beetle in India is around the corner and the company has started taking bookings for the car at Rs. 1 lakh. Prospective customers can also visit the Volkswagen India website to browse details and features of the upcoming Beetle for India and make the booking online as well.

Volkswagen will be launching the 1.4 litre, petrol engined Beetle in India. This four cylinder turbocharged petrol engine featuring direct fuel injection 147PS of maximum power and will come mated to the company’s slick shifting 7-speed double clutch automatic gearbox.

Some of the equipment highlights for the India spec VW Beetle include keyless entry and start/stop, electro chromatic interior rear view mirror, heated ORVMs, leather upholstery, cruise control, automatic head lamps and wipers, heated front seats, panoramic sun roof, climate control and interior mood lighting with a choice of three shades.

Safety features aboard the new Beetle will include anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic stability programme (ESP), electronic differential lock (EDL), anti-slip regulation (ASR) and engine drag torque control (EDTC). There are also dual front airbags with passenger airbag deactivation feature, side and curtain airbags for front passengers.
