Nissan India has confirmed that the Gravite MPV will make its India debut on January 21, 2026, marking a key step in expanding its portfolio beyond the Magnite. The new MPV targets buyers who want a practical family vehicle without crossing the four-metre mark, a factor that matters on Indian roads. The Gravite enters the compact MPV space with a clear focus on everyday usability and value. Nissan will announce prices in March 2026, and showroom arrivals are expected shortly after. This debut will help Nissan to strengthen its presence in the mass-market segment with products designed around local needs and regulations.

Built to meet Indian regulations, the Nissan Gravite measures 3,990mm in length and sits on a 2,636mm wheelbase. Ground clearance stands at 185mm, which should help on broken roads and speed breakers. Kerb weight ranges between 950kg and 1,000kg, depending on the variant. This compact MPV is designed for ease of driving rather than size or bulk, making it suitable for daily city use and longer highway runs.

The Gravite is based on the CMF-A platform and comes with a seven-seat layout. Nissan positions it as a value-focused MPV in the B-segment. It directly rivals the Renault Triber while also competing with larger MPVs like the Ertiga, XL6, Kia Carens, and Toyota Rumion at a lower price point. Boot space is rated at 300 litres with all seats in place and expands to 625 litres when the third row is folded.

On the design front, the Gravite keeps things simple and functional. The front features a wide grille with chrome accents and a revised headlamp layout. A scoop-style element on the bonnet adds a distinct touch. The side profile shows clean lines, refreshed alloy wheels, and roof rails for added utility. At the rear, connected tail-lamps carry the Gravite name, helping it stand out on the road.

Power will come from a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 71bhp and 96Nm. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The Gravite uses a front-wheel-drive setup, with MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. Braking duties are handled by front discs and rear drums. Expected prices range from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9 lakh, with production taking place in Chennai for both domestic and export markets.
