Nissan Gravite vs Renault Triber: What's Different?

Unlike the Triber, which gets AMT only in the fully loaded version, the Nissan Gravite gets it from mid-level variants. That said, both MPVs have the same engine.

Nissan Gravite vs Renault Triber

The long-awaited Nissan MPV has finally hit the Indian roads. Called the Gravite, the model is Nissan’s version of the Triber, which received a facelift last year in July. While it shares its platform with its Renault counterpart, the Gravite stands out with some unique design elements and styling cues. Here’s a detailed look at the key differences between these two MPVs.

While the proportions of the two cars are similar, their design language slightly differs. Compared to the grille in a gloss-black finish on the Triber, the Gravite gets a more rugged piano black grille with a honeycomb pattern. On the Gravite, the slender LED DRLs are connected by a chrome accent, and C-shaped accents on both the front and rear.

The Triber, meanwhile, boasts a cleaner design with a vertical-slat grille and crisp cuts on the front bumper that neatly frame the LED DRLs and fog lights. The side profiles of both models are largely similar, except for the wheel design. While the taillamps on both are the same, the Gravite stands out with a connecting chrome strip and C-shaped silver bumper accents, and a differently styled skid plate.

As for colours, the Gravite offers five options to choose from (Onyx Black, Storm White, Metallic Grey, Blade Silver, and Forest Green), while the Triber provides six choices (Amber Terracotta, Shadow Grey, Zanskar Blue, Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver, and Stealth Black).

The Nissan Gravite borrows the Triber’s dashboard setup but stands out with some unique elements. These include a redesigned lower centre console and a black and beige theme with leatherette seat upholstery. Though both of them have an 8-inch touchscreen, the unit on the Triber is a floating one.

That said, the semi-digital instrument cluster, keyless entry, and foldable third-row seats are the same. The safety kit is also identical on both MPVs.

Nissan Gravite vs Renault Triber: Price

The Nissan MPV is priced from Rs 5.65 lakh to Rs 8.94 lakh, slightly undercutting its Renault counterpart at the entry level but extending higher at the top end. In comparison, the Triber ranges between Rs 5.76 lakh and Rs 8.60 lakh (both ex-showroom), which makes it marginally more affordable in its fully loaded trim.
