Nissan launches Datsun GO+ in India

Today, Nissan launched Datsun GO+ MPV in Delhi after launching it in Mumbai yesterday.

Nissan launched its latest offering, the Datsun GO+ MPV, today. The sub-4 metre compact MPV which has no competition as the segment it belongs to has no other car. It resembles Datsun GO a lot which is not a surprise to anyone who is familiar with the car. It is nothing but a Datsun GO with a third row seat which is the reason for the rear end looking different.

After Global NCAP tests, where Datsun GO failed to comply with the frontal crash tests, the Datsun GO+ will provide driver side airbags as an option in top-of-the-line variant.

The length of the car is 3995mm, width is 1635mm and height is 1490mm. The wheelbase of Datsun GO+ is 2450mm. The car offers a boot space of just 48-litres, but fold the third seat and it becomes a 347-litre boot.

The petrol engine powering the car is a usual affair – 1.2-litre, 67bhp, 104Nm, inline-3 – which will deliver the power using a 5-speed manual gearbox. Nissan claims that the Datsun GO+ will deliver a fuel efficiency of 20.6kmpl. But the USP remains the 2-year unlimited warranty, irrespective of no. of kilometres done.

Datsun GO+ D1 – Rs. 3.82 lakhs

Datsun GO+ A – Rs. 4.15 lakhs

Datsun GO+ T – Rs. 4.61 lakhs
