Nissan India has teased a new version of its popular compact SUV, the Magnite Kuro Edition. This special variant will adopt the all-black theme, hinted at by the name ‘Kuro,’ which means ‘black’ in Japanese. From the outside, the Kuro Edition is expected to stand out. The SUV is likely to get a dark grille, black roof rails, stylish alloy wheels, and blacked-out trims across the body. Red brake callipers seen on earlier Kuro models might make a return to add a sporty contrast. Nissan is aiming to give this edition a stronger, more assertive road presence for buyers who want their car to look different.

The interior of the Magnite Kuro Edition will likely feature an all-black treatment, with matching upholstery and trim details. While the layout and tech will remain the same as the regular model, the darker tone adds a touch of class and exclusivity. It’s a simple update that gives the cabin a fresh and premium look, without changing what already works.
There are no changes in performance. The Kuro Edition of Magnite will be offered with the familiar 1.0-litre petrol engine in two versions, a naturally aspirated unit with 71bhp and 96Nm, and a turbocharged one delivering 99bhp and 160Nm. Transmission options remain the same. Buyers will be able to choose from a five-speed manual, an AMT with the standard engine, or a CVT automatic paired with the turbo motor.
