Nissan has brought the Kuro Edition of the Magnite back to life, giving the updated sub-4m SUV an aggressive and all-black treatment. The all-black SUV is based on the mid-spec N-Connecta variant of the Magnite, and has prices ranging between Rs 8.31 lakh and Rs 10.87 lakh (both, ex-showroom). Here's a detailed look at key design differences between the Kuro Edition and the standard Magnite, which received a Facelift in October last year.

Based on the N-Connecta variant, the Kuro Edition commands a slight premium thanks to its distinctive design elements and extra features. Still, it sits below the top-spec Tekna and Tekna+ variants, which makes it an appealing mid-range option for buyers seeking aggressive all-black styling.
| Variant | Standard Magnite (N-Connecta) (ex-showroom price) | Kuro Edition (ex-showroom price) |
| 1.0-litre NA Petrol MT | Rs 7.97 lakh | Rs 8.31 lakh |
| 1.0-litre NA Petrol AMT | Rs 8.52 lakh | Rs 8.86 lakh |
| 1.0-litre Turbo Petrol MT | Rs 9.38 lakh | Rs 9.72 lakh |
| 1.0-litre Turbo Petrol CVT | Rs 10.53 lakh | Rs 10.87 lakh |
Unlike the standard Magnite, which is available in various colors, the Kuro edition features a bold, all-black finish that gives it a commanding and aggressive presence on the road. Its grille eliminates the chrome and silver accents found on the regular model and is finished in a high-gloss piano black. This look is complemented by smoked LED headlights, which provide a stealthy appearance compared to the standard LED units.

The front and rear skid plates are finished in black resin instead of the silver finish seen on the standard model. While the standard Magnite opts for more conventional diamond-cut alloys, the Kuro edition comes fitted with black alloy wheels. The wheel size is the same, though. The roof rails are gloss black, and there is an exclusive 'Kuro' badging on the front fenders.

The Magnite Kuro has a 'Midnight Black' interior, compared to the standard Magnite N-Connecta's black and tan cabin. While the core features remain the same, including the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, the Kuro edition stands out with piano black inserts on the steering wheel and exclusive dealer-fitted accessories like a wireless phone charger and a dashcam.

While the Kuro edition packs essential safety features like ABS with EBD and six airbags, it lacks a reverse parking camera found on the N-Connecta variant of the SUV.
The Nissan Magnite Kuro and the standard model share the same mechanical setup, which includes a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The NA unit produces 71bhp and 96Nm, and is mated to either a 5-speed MT or AMT.

The turbo-petrol mill, on the other hand, generates 99bhp and up to 160Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a CVT.
