Porsche has reduced prices across its entire India line-up following the rollout of the revised GST 2.0 tax structure. Some models are now up to Rs 15 lakh cheaper, with the brand positioning the cuts as a way of making its cars more attainable while keeping pace with the market. One of the biggest changes is for the 911 Carrera 4 GTS, which is now about Rs 15 lakh less expensive, a reduction of nearly five per cent. The drop follows the removal of the compensation cess on luxury cars, meaning the sportscar now reaches buyers at a noticeably lower price point.

The Cayenne SUV has also benefitted, with all trims, including the GTS, down by around Rs 8 lakh. Given its strong presence in Porsche’s Indian portfolio, the brand expects the revised pricing to further boost demand for the SUV.

The Panamera GTS saloon has seen similar adjustments, reflecting the lighter tax load under GST 2.0. Porsche is not alone in this, other luxury carmakers are also reworking their pricing strategies, which could drive fresh traction in the premium saloon and sports car market.
GST 2.0 simplifies the earlier multi-slab system into two standard slabs and a separate band for high-end goods. By doing away with the former 20–22 per cent compensation cess, the overall tax rate on luxury cars has reduced, improving affordability and potentially lifting sales.

The timing further adds to the relevance, arriving just ahead of the festive season, when demand for cars traditionally rises. With these reductions, Porsche aims to draw in a wider set of buyers, while industry analysts expect rival luxury brands to follow suit in order to keep pace with the new tax regime.
