Range Rover Sport gets a 2.0 litre Ingenium engine

The Range Rover Sport model line-up gets its most affordable variant yet with the introduction of the new 2.0 litre petrol model.

The Range Rover Sport model line-up has just welcomed a new member into the family with the launch of the most affordable Range Rover Sport model yet. Priced at Rs. 86.71 lakh (ex-showroom), this new model sports a 2.0 litre, four cylinder, petrol engine featuring a twin scroll turbocharger. The engine belongs to Jaguar Land Rover’s Ingenium family of engines and is rated to have 296bhp of max power @ 5,500rpm and 400Nm of peak torque spread between 1,500rpm to 4,000rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission sourced from ZF.

The new 2.0 litre petrol engined Range Rover has been launched with a choice of three variants to choose from, namely, S, SE and HSE.

Prior to the launch of the 2.0 litre engined Range Rover Sport, prices for the Range Rover Sport started from Rs. 1.03 crore for the 3.0 litre diesel S model of the Range Rover Sport and went all the way up to Rs. 2.50 crore (ex-showroom) for the 5.0 litre Supercharged SVR model. The other models continue to be on sale alongside the new variants.

Mild Hybrid Range Rover Sport HST introduced
