Range Rover Sport SVR Showcased

Land Rover has just revealed full details of the all-new 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR and it will be the sportiest Land Rover ever created. The Range Rover Sport SVR will be the first Land Rover vehicle to wear the new high-performance SVR badge, and it features a 550bhp all-aluminium 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 260 km/h on the track. This makes the RR Sport SVR the most powerful Land Rover vehicle ever. The advanced 8-speed automatic transmission and the four-wheel-drive chassis have also been tuned to complement the astonishing performance of the car.

Speaking ahead of its global premiere, John Edwards, MD of Land Rover Special Operations, said, "The Range Rover Sport SVR is a natural progression beyond the core vehicle's outstanding on- and off-road capabilities and leading-edge design. It's exhilarating performance will satisfy a particularly demanding customer set."

The new Range Rover Sport SVR also gets some design modifications a revised grille, distinctive front fender vents, and muscular side skirts. The rear section has also gone under the knife and there is a newly designed rear bumper with a larger rear spoiler. There are also massive 21-inch alloy wheels that look great with the Continental Cross Contact all-season tires.

The RR Sport SVR was tested on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and recorded a lap time of 8 minutes 14 seconds - that is very impressive indeed.
