Renault is expected to launch the Kwid Facelift in India soon, making it the third model under its 'Rethink' transformative strategy. The Triber and the Kiger have already been updated for 2025, with prices starting at Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kwid has received several minor updates over the years, but the upcoming facelift is expected to be a major overhaul, featuring a new fascia. It could also get a significant safety boost with six airbags. However, this feature will most likely be exclusive to higher trims. The Kwid is currently priced between Rs 4.70 lakh and Rs 6.45 lakh ( ex-showroom, Delhi). With considerable cosmetic and feature enhancements, we can expect the facelifted model to command a premium of around Rs 25,000-40,000 across variants.
The core design, similar to its other updated, bigger siblings, the Triber and the Kiger, will remain the same. However, Renault is likely to introduce a few noticeable changes to give the Kwid a more modern look.

The hatchback will get a new 2D Renault logo in line with the brand's global identity. It may also feature reprofiled front and rear bumpers. Other possible updates include redesigned headlights, fresh colour options, and new wheel designs.
The updated Kwid will likely sport a new interior layout and revised upholstery. It is already well-equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, but the facelifted model might feature a software update for a more modern user interface and potentially faster response times. Renault currently offers steering-mounted controls and a rear parking camera on higher trims. The Facelift, however, could introduce useful amenities, like a USB Type-C charging port, a feature seen in many modern cars.
As for safety, the biggest change will likely be the addition of six airbags. This feature could be standard or optional on higher variants.

The Renault Kwid is already known for offering unique features in its segment, such as the AMT gear selector dial. We anticipate the French carmaker to carry forward this approach with meaningful feature additions.
In terms of the engine, the Kwid Facelift is not expected to receive any changes. It will continue to use the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, petrol mill that produces 67bhp of maximum power and 91Nm of peak torque mated to either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission.
