Skoda's entry-level EV concept, the Epiq, which made its debut last March, has now moved closer to production and is currently on display at the ongoing Munich Motor Show. Has anything changed? Not much, as the near-production Epiq stays true to its original design. However, Skoda has made a few minor adjustments to meet the production needs. Slated for launch in 2026, the Epiq continues to embody Skoda’s Modern Solid design philosophy. It aims to offer the utility of a compact SUV at a price point comparable to its ICE siblings. Here are some more details on Skoda's newest addition to the EV space.

As mentioned, the Epiq incorporates all the key characteristics of Skoda’s new Modern Solid design philosophy, first showcased on the concept last year. However, there are a few updates, including redesigned LED lighting, revised bumpers, and a reworked grille. The near-production model on the display features a Cashmere matte finish, complemented by glossy black trim and Cosmo Gray cladding. It is equipped with a new set of alloy wheels. Other highlights include Skoda’s signature ‘Tech Deck’ face and a sharply sculpted shoulder line.

Measuring 4,100mm in length, the Epiq is Skoda’s smallest EV, just a bit longer than the India-sold Kushaq, which measures 3,995mm. As the most compact member of Skoda’s electric SUV range, it sits beneath the Elroq and Enyaq. The car can seat up to 5 people.
Although the interior of the near-production Epiq hasn’t been revealed yet, the original concept gives us a good glimpse of what to expect. It featured a clean, minimalist cabin layout accented by orange highlights across the door panels, dashboard, and center console. A large touchscreen infotainment system dominated the dashboard, acting as the central hub for in-car functions. Meanwhile, the free-floating centre console featured an open storage space housing a wireless phone charger. The concept also had a new two-spoke steering wheel (combining tactile haptic scrolls with traditional physical buttons) and bidirectional charging.
Skoda is yet to reveal the full technical specifications of the Epiq, but market reports suggest that the EV will feature a front-wheel-drive setup. Buyers can expect two battery options (38kWh and 56kWh).
