Skoda Octavia and Kodiaq bookings commence at select dealerships

Selected Skoda dealers have commenced booking for the new facelift version of the Skoda Octavia and the upcoming Kodiaq SUV.

Selected number of Skoda car dealers in India have started accepting bookings for their two upcoming models in India. The third generation of the Skoda Octavia is already on sale in India. However, Skoda will launch a modern Model Year 2017 facelift in India. The new Octavia is scheduled for launch in June 2017. The selected dealers are now accepting pre-bookings for car for an amount of Rs. 10,000-20,000.

Changes are not expected to me made to the current engine offering in India, while some tuning and refinement might be integrated. The company is also expected to launch a performance version, called the Octavia vRS as well. But no confirmation has been made officially.

Following the launch of the Octavia, Skoda will also launch their much awaited SUV, the Kodiaq, in India. Only select dealerships are now accepting pre-launch bookings of the vehicle for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

For the Indian market, the Kodiaq will be sold in petrol and diesel forms with displacement no higher that 2.0-litres and will also feature all-wheel drive. The petrol engine produces 177bhp and 320Nm of torque, while the diesel engine churns out 147bhp and 340Nm of torque. Both will come mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
