Skoda has confirmed that it will announce prices for the Octavia RS in India on October 17, 2025. Online pre-bookings will open on October 6, while deliveries are set to begin a month later, on the same date. The high-performance Octavia, similar to the Golf GTI, will hit our roads as a CBU in limited quantities. It won't have any direct rivals here, but will serve as a sportier alternative to premium sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, the Audi A4, and the BMW 2 Series. For those unaware, Skoda showcased the Octavia RS in India at the 2025 Auto Expo. Now, as the performance sedan is set to officially go on sale, here are some key details you should know.
Compared to the standard Octavia, the RS looks noticeably sportier and more aggressive. The iconic butterfly grille in gloss black is paired with Matrix LED headlamps and V-shaped LED daytime running lights to create a razor-sharp front appearance.

The side profile is enhanced by 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the rear features wraparound LED taillights and a subtle black boot lip spoiler.
The cabin of the Skoda Octavia RS has a sporty all-black theme, highlighted by subtle red contrast elements throughout. It is equipped with a 3-spoke steering wheel with RS-specific badging and tactile controls, a large 13-inch free-standing touchscreen, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless phone charger, centre armrests, dual-zone automatic AC, power-adjustable heated front seats, and ambient lighting.

In terms of safety, the performance sedan has a 360-degree camera, TPMS, ADAS, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
The Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 261bhp and 370Nm, and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). It can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6.4 seconds. The RS uses a front-wheel-drive layout, complemented by a limited-slip differential.
