Skoda Rapid Anniversary Edition launched at Rs 6.99 lakh

Skoda has launched the Rapid Anniversary Edition in India at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), adding a raft of features to the sedan.

Unique to the Anniversary Edition of the Rapid are side door foils, contrasting tone roof foils and wood décor interior trims. The Elegance Plus model will also include the TrackPro car tracking system. This device syncs with the car, enabling the customer to stay updated on the location of his or her car through a web application. The owner will also be notified when his or her car is getting towed, overspeeding, entering or exiting bounders etc.

On the safety front, each variant under the Anniversary edition gets dual airbags as standard.

The Rapid Anniversary Edition is available across all Skoda dealerships till September 2015. It is a tad cheaper than the regular Rapid, which starts at Rs 7.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
