The popular Tata Altroz hatchback, which received a Facelift in May 2025, has earned a 5-star safety rating in the latest round of Bharat NCAP crash tests. What truly stands out is that the hatchback's CNG version is the only one in India to receive this top rating. The tested Tata Altroz models include the Pure CNG MT, CRTV S CNG MT, and Accomplished S DMT. The safety rating applies only to these specific variants. To recall, the pre-facelift Tata Altroz was awarded a 5-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash tests in 2020. This recognition set a benchmark for hatchback safety in India and established Tata’s reputation for prioritising occupant protection. The facelifted model builds on this strong safety legacy by earning the highest rating from Bharat NCAP. Here's a breakdown of BNCAP ratings for the recently tested 2025 Tata Altroz hatchback.
The hatchback has scored 29.65 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection. It earned 15.55 out of 16 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier test, showing good protection to the driver and co-driver's key areas except for the tibias.
