Recently, Tata Motors rolled out the CNG version of the Altroz in the Indian market along with some significant improvements. A wireless charger, a built-in air purifier with an AQI display on the infotainment screen, a voice-activated motorised sunroof, and leatherette seats were among the latest features. These functions are now officially available on the Tata Altroz's other engine options as well. The new variants with a sunroof have just been released even though the firm announced these additional features with the Altroz petrol/diesel roughly two weeks ago. As a result, the Altroz becomes the second hatchback in its segment, following the Hyundai i20, to receive a sunroof. The XM+S edition of the Altroz now comes with an electronic sunroof and costs Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, this also makes the Tata Altroz the most reasonably priced hatchback with an electric sunroof in India.

Tata Altroz: Engine and Gearbox
The Altroz is still the same in terms of powertrain. The three available engines are the 90bhp, 1.5-litre diesel engine, the 110bhp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, and the 86bhp, 1.2-litre normally aspirated (NA) petrol engine. Further, only the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated gasoline unit offers a 6-speed DCT automatic transmission; the other engines all come standard with a 5-speed manual transmission. The latest inclusion to the lineup was a 5-speed manual transmission, 77bhp bi-fuel CNG unit. The Altroz is the last remaining diesel hatchback in its segment on sale.
Tata Altroz: Competition Check
The Tata Altroz's prices go from Rs 6.60 lakh to Rs 10.74 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. Besides, the Hyundai i20, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and the Toyota Glanza are some of the models it directly rivals in the Indian market.
