The specifications and features of the new Altroz Racer are now confirmed after months of speculation owing to a leaked brochure. Tata Motors is expected to launch the sportier hatch in our market on June 7, with numerous enhancements over the regular Altroz. According to the brochure, the Racer edition will have multiple new features like a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, ventilated front seats, six airbags, voice-activated electric sunroof, and rear AC vents. The new Altroz Racer is confirmed to have the Nexon's 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine, which delivers 120bhp and 170Nm of performance numbers. However, unlike the latter's four transmission options, the Racer edition will only come with a 6-speed manual transmission. Given that Tata Motors offers the Altroz with DCT gearbox in its lineup, the upcoming hatch will likely get one as well. However, as of now, there is no confirmation of it.
The hatchback will have a dual-tone colour scheme, as seen at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo, with a black finish and white racing stripes on the bonnet, and hood. The car will be available in three exterior paint options: Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey, based on the leaked specs.

The new hatch will likely cost more than the top-spec Altroz, which is available for Rs 10.79 lakh (ex-showroom). According to the reports, the bookings for the Altroz are now underway in our market.
