Tata DTC buses clock over 1 billion km

The green, red, orange and occasionally blue Tata Marcopolo buses that have been serving the Delhi Transport Corporation have come to achieve a significant milestone by crossing the staggering 1 billion or 100 crore kilometer mark. The CNG fuelled Tata Marcopolo buses have been plying on the National Capital Region tarmac for over seven years now. A total of 2,682 these buses are serving the DTC as of now. This also happens to be one of the largest CNG powered bus services in the world.

Operating from 22 bus depots spread across Delhi, these buses from Tata have clock 4.70 lakh km on a daily basis. Of these, 6 depots operated by Tata were rated as the top 10 depots in Delhi. Tata Motors has around 3.500 employees serving in the maintenance team for the Tata Marcopolo buses serving the DTC.
