Tata Motors has rolled out the all-new Harrier EV AWD, priced at Rs 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This electrified SUV variant debuts the brand’s Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) technology. The Harrier EV range spans three trims – Adventure, Fearless, and Empowered – but the AWD configuration is exclusive to the top-of-the-line version. A few days ago, Tata announced the prices for the rear-wheel-drive variants of the model, ranging from Rs 21.49 lakh to Rs 27.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Distinctive features of the AWD variant include a terrain-focused off-road assist system and a high-performance boost function. It is also equipped with six customisable drive modes tailored for varied conditions: Normal, Snow/Grass, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Rock Crawl, and Custom. Bookings will open on July 2, with deliveries slated to begin shortly thereafter.
Visually, the EV stands apart from the ICE Harrier through subtle but clear changes. A blanked-off grille, '.ev' badging on the doors, and 19-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts give it a distinct electric identity. However, it retains familiar lighting signatures such as LED DRLs, headlamps, and taillights. The SUV is offered in four exterior colour options.
The electric Harrier brings two battery choices to the table – a 65kWh and a 75kWh unit. The rear-wheel-drive variant runs on a single motor delivering 235bhp. Opting for the all-wheel-drive configuration adds a front motor producing 156bhp, while the rear continues to push 235bhp, resulting in a combined torque output of 504Nm.

The larger battery pack claims a certified driving range of up to 627 km, whereas the smaller one offers around 538 km. In boost mode, the AWD model clocks 0–100km/h in 6.3 seconds.
Charging options include a 7.2 kW AC unit that requires around 10.7 hours for a full charge (10%–100%), and a 120 kW DC fast charger that tops up from 20% to 80% in roughly 25 minutes.
Step inside, and the standout upgrade is a segment-leading 14.5-inch infotainment display developed by Harman, using Samsung’s Neo QLED technology. While the dashboard design mirrors that of the standard Harrier, the interior adopts a new white-and-grey colour scheme for a more modern feel.

Other notable features include a redesigned four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a 10-inch fully digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, a second-row 'Boss Mode' seat with powered adjustment, ambient lighting, and a 10-speaker JBL audio system with Dolby Atmos 5.1 support. The EV also supports multiple drive and terrain modes, along with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging, and digital key access.
In terms of safety and driver assistance, the Harrier EV comes equipped with essentials like ABS, EBD, seven airbags, TPMS, and front and rear parking sensors. It also incorporates Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and lane assistance.
