A price hike of up to Rs 26,000 has been announced across its model and variant range. The company has also promised price protection for all customers who booked vehicles on or before 21st January

Last month, Tata announced a hike in the price of its commercial vehicle range, and now, they have revised the prices of its passenger vehicles as well. The company has announced a hike of up to Rs 26,000 across its model and variant range. As per the official statement from the company, this move comes as a result of the rising input costs, and material costs of steel precious metals and semi-conductors. Along with the price hike announcement, Tata also shared a price protection promise. All customers who have booked vehicle on or before the 21st of January, will not have to pay the revised prices.

Tata isn’t the only carmaker to announce a price hike of its products. So far, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have already announced similar increase in the price of its products.

Meanwhile, Tata Motors is all set to expand their product portfolio with the introduction of two new products. Earlier this month, the company took the wraps off the Altroz iTurbo. The 7-seater SUV is all set to make its debut sometime next month.
