The Tata Nexon seems to be in a festive mood already. While the car secured an overall 4-star Global NCAP safety rating just a few days back, potential Nexon customers have yet another reason to rejoice as Tata has introduced the Apple CarPlay on the Nexon to complement the already-featured Android Auto. Starting August 2018, all new manufactured Nexons will have the CarPlay system. Top three trims - XZ, XZ+ and the XZA+ - will receive this system as they come fitted with a Harman-sourced infotainment system with a 6.5-inch floating touchscreen. To keep the existing customers happy, Tata will ensure that they can also have this feature on their car through a software update from any certified Tata workshop across India.

The Nexon compact SUV comes fitted with two engine options: Tata’s 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol Revotron engine which develops 110 bhp and 170Nm of torque and the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel Revotorq motor which produces the same 110 bhp but higher 260Nm of torque. Both motors are available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed AMT gearbox. Tata launched the AMT version of the Nexon earlier this year, however, only in the top XZA+ trim. To balance out, Tata recently came out with a lower-spec XMA variant as well. Addition of the AMT gearbox has bumped up the Nexon's sales figures significantly in a short period of time.
