Tata Punch EV Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, Empowered+ Variants Explained

Tata Motors has unveiled the electrified Punch and is accepting its bookings for Rs 21,000 in India. It has five variants: Smart, Smart +, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered +, and is based on the homegrown automaker's new EV architecture, acti.ev (Advanced Connected Tech-Intelligent Electric Vehicle). Currently, the carmaker offers the Nexon.ev, Tiago.ev, and Tigor.ev—three EV models—for sale in India. With the electrified Punch, the carmaker now intends to increase the countrywide range of its e-cars. Regarding the EV's mechanical components, the manufacturer hasn't disclosed any details as of yet. The Punch EV will be available in two versions— Standard and Long Range (LR), just like the other Tata electric cars. Although the punch EV's precise power and torque specifications are still unknown, we do know that it features multi-mode brake regeneration. 

The upcoming electric Punch appears to have taken design cues from the Nexon. ev. The charging flap is located beneath the Tata emblem, and the car features an LED light strip that spans the length of the bonnet line. It also has alloy wheels, a silver faux skid plate, split LED headlamps on the front bumper, and a lower grille with a vertical slat pattern.

Tata Punch EV: Expected Price

The upcoming electrified Punch from Tata Motors will be positioned between the Tigor EV and the Nexon EV in the range. It is anticipated to come with an ex-showroom price tag that ranges between Rs 13 and 16 lakh. After the launch, it will face off against the Citroen eC3 in the Indian market.
