The Tata Sierra EV will be a significant milestone for the Indian automaker following the launch of its ICE-powered sibling. While Tata has yet to confirm an official launch date, the EV is expected to debut early next year, with pricing details likely arriving in March 2026.
The electric variant largely retains the design of the conventional Sierra, as revealed in the first teaser, though subtle styling updates, especially at the front, distinguish it from the ICE counterpart. The ICE model currently starts at Rs 11.49 lakh; the Sierra EV is likely to carry a premium, with prices beginning around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will compete with popular models like the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, the Mahindra BE 6, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
The Sierra EV, as seen in the previous teaser, adopts a more modern and streamlined appearance compared to its ICE sibling. The front end is fully closed off, featuring a minimalist bumper and a body-coloured Tata emblem, which adds to its distinctive electric look.

The full-width LED light bar remains, but the placement of the headlamps has shifted from the grille on the ICE model to the bumper on the EV. Many design cues from the ICE Sierra carry over, including the alloy wheels. Overall, the Sierra EV retains the character and familiarity of the ICE model while signaling its futuristic, electric identity.
Details about the interior of the Tata Sierra EV remain largely under wraps, but industry reports suggest it will closely mirror the ICE version’s layout. That said, you can expect some notable updates, including new upholstery colours. The EV could also introduce several electric-specific features, such as vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging.
Other anticipated features may include a panoramic sunroof, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, a three-screen digital setup, wireless phone charging, a JBL audio system, and dual-zone climate control. In terms of safety, the Sierra EV is likely to come with front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, ESC, and Level-2 ADAS.
The Sierra EV is expected to offer two battery options: a 55kWh pack borrowed from the Curvv EV and a 65kWh unit from the Harrier EV.
