Tata Motors has launched the new Sierra in India with an introductory price of Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Sierra returns in a modernised form while keeping its familiar silhouette, now featuring connected LED light bars at both ends and a redesigned rear section that recreates the earlier Alpine Window effect using a large rear window, quarter glass, and a gloss-black roof. Tata has removed the tailgate-mounted spare wheel for a cleaner design, while the top variant receives 19-inch dual-tone alloys and flush door handles.

Tata Sierra: Features

The new Tata Sierra brings a feature-rich cabin focused on comfort and entertainment for daily use and long trips. The Theater Pro system introduces the Horizon View Triple Screen setup, which includes a 12.3-inch personal screen for the co-passenger, a JBL Black 12-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, and the SonicShaft Soundbar.

The Arcade Suite adds 30 apps for streaming, gaming, and browsing with wireless headphone support. Ride comfort is handled by the Superglide Suspension with Frequency Dependent Damping, while MeSpace allows personalised control of climate settings and the driver seat.

Space inside the cabin is a core highlight, supported by a 2730mm wheelbase and a 622-litre boot. The PanoraMax sunroof stretches across the roof, offering a wider view, while Light Saber LEDs and Night Saber Bi-LED Booster headlamps support visibility and interior ambience. These features aim to create a cabin suited for varied user needs.

On the technology and safety front, the Sierra includes the HypAR augmented reality heads-up display offering 19 cues for safer driving. L2 ADAS with 22 features such as adaptive cruise control and intelligent speed assist adds convenience on highways. A 360-degree HD Surround View System with 4Sight Blind Spot detection helps during tight parking. Connectivity comes through 5G-enabled OTA updates and the iRA Connected Car App with 75 functions for remote access and monitoring.

Tata Sierra: Engine Options

The Tata Sierra offers three engine choices designed for different driving needs. The 1.5-litre Hyperion Turbo Gasoline Direct Injection engine produces 158bhp and 255Nm, using systems such as a variable geometry turbocharger, high-pressure direct injection, dual variable cam timing, and smart lubrication.
