Tesla on its way to hit a home run

Probably the most iconic name in the world of electric automobiles – Tesla Motors Inc. – has revealed that the company is running ahead of its plans to power cars and households.

Driven by a new wave of energy and products, Tasla Motors is on its way to make sure that there is no looking back 2015 onwards. The battery factory at Nevada which will create power sources not only for the cars but also households is on its track to begin production of cells, modules and full packs by 2016 and it might expand its capacity by 50 percent capacity to meet the demand for stationary storage products. The factory is expected to reduce battery costs for cars and storage products by 30%.

Musk also said that the new model – Model X SUV – will start reaching customers by the third quarter of this calendar year, and will help Tesla realise the dream of selling 55,000 cars this year. The company also expects to deliver 10,000-11,000 Model S sedans, which are produced at the company’s facility in California, in the second quarter of this year.

Musk also confirmed the revelation of the Model 3, Tesla’s $35,000 luxury car for the masses, in March 2016 and the deliveries of the same will commence from late 2017.
