Toyota Cuts Prices Post-GST Slash; Fortuner Now More Affordable by Up to Rs 3.49 Lakh

Many carmakers have embraced the recent GST changes and the abolition of Cess by promptly adjusting prices of their models to align with the new tax structure. Toyota has also confirmed to pass the entire benefit of the reduction in tax to prospective buyers. It has announced price reductions of up to Rs 3.49 lakh, depending on the model. The revised prices will come into effect on September 22, 2025, in line with the implementation of the new GST rates.

Commenting on the announcement, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement, said, 'We sincerely thank the Government of India for this historic reform. It has not only enhanced affordability for customers but also strengthened overall confidence in the auto sector. Ahead of the festive season, we expect this step will provide strong momentum and further accelerate demand.

It is recommended to confirm the applicable prices of the preferred Toyota cars at the nearest authorised dealership. In addition, it is advised to make early bookings to avoid delays during the festive period. 

Other Highlights

Toyota India recorded an 11% year-on-year growth with a total of 34,236 units sold in August 2025.
