Toyota Innova Hycross ZX, ZX (O) Bookings Reopen Again

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reopened the order books for the top-spec ZX and ZX(O) variants of the Innova Hycross MPV. For the uninitiated, the carmaker had temporarily closed the bookings for a couple of months. Since its launch in November 2022, the company halted the bookings for the top-spec trims of the strong-hybrid variant twice. The first time was in April last year owing to supply chain challenges, and the manufacturer did not elaborate on the cause for the second time in May 2024. Toyota concentrated on optimising the production process during the hiatus to resume bookings and reduce the waiting period. Interested customers can book the MPV for a nominal fee of Rs 50,000.

Toyota Innova Hycross: Powertrain and Price

A 2-litre strong-hybrid setup with 183bhp, which powers the front wheels through an e-CVT, is the only powertrain option for the top-spec Innova Hycross model. The lower-spec models, meanwhile, come with a 2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine with 173bhp, front-wheel drive and a CVT.

The price range of the MPV starts at Rs 19.77 lakh. The ZX and ZX (O) variants of the Toyota Innova Hycross retail for Rs 30.34 lakh and Rs 30.98 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.

Toyota Innova Hycross: Features and Rivals

On the feature front, the ZX (O) variant is loaded with amenities like leatherette upholstery, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, second-row ottoman seats, six airbags, electronic stability control, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, front and rear parking sensors, 18-inch alloy wheels, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

As a pricier alternative to the Kia Carens, the Hycross competes with the Maruti Invicto and the Toyota Innova Crysta (diesel only).
