The Rumion MPV, which made its debut earlier this month, is now officially available for bookings, and its prices have finally been announced by Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM). Interested customers can book the car for a token amount of Rs 11,000. With just minor visual modifications, the Toyota Rumion is essentially a badge-engineered Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The automaker claims that the new compact B-MPV is set to surpass all previous standards with its unparalleled room and comfort, exceptional fuel efficiency, and elegant and premium exterior design. The latest product from the house of Toyota will be available in six grades in our home market. The deliveries of the brand-new Rumion are slated to start on September 8 in India. For those unaware, the MPV will be offered at ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 10.29 lakh for the base S model to Rs 13.68 lakh for the top-of-the-line V automatic model. At a cost of Rs 11.24 lakh (ex-showroom), it is also offered in a CNG option.

Starting with the exterior appearance, the Rumion, and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga share a lot of visual characteristics given that they are both developed on the same platform. The most noticeable modification, though, is the addition of trapezoidal fog lamp housings to the bumper. A fresh grille that resembles the Innova Crysta has also been included. New dual-tone alloy wheels are another distinctive feature of the model.

There are three trim levels for the Rumion: S, G, and V. All bar the mid-spec G trim can be purchased with an automatic transmission, but only the base S trim can be had with a factory-installed CNG kit. Both prices are ex-showroom. Depending on the trim opted for by the buyer, the newly launched MPV also costs between Rs 51,000 and Rs 61,000 more than the Ertiga.
