Toyota has reduced the entry price of the Rumion in India with the launch of a new variant, called the E MT. As the new entry-level version, the E MT variant, priced at Rs 9.56 lakh (ex-showroom), has lowered the starting price of the MPV by Rs 95,000 compared to the previous base model, the S MT, which is priced at Rs 10.51 lakh (ex-showroom). The Toyota MPV is now offered in four trims: E, S, G, and V. Here’s all you need to know about the recently launched variant of the Toyota Rumion E MT.
The new E MT variant omits several cosmetic and tech features to keep prices in check. These include body-coloured door handles and ORVMs, an infotainment unit, steering-mounted controls, a driver-side centre armrest, seatback pockets, and rear AC vents. However, the new Rumion E MT variant has turn indicators on the front fenders instead of being integrated into the ORVM LED strip. That said, the model retains the MPV’s core styling, with elements such as 15-inch steel wheels with silver wheel caps and a big chrome-accented grille. It also retains the colour options: Cafe White, Enticing Silver, Rustic Brown, Iconic Grey, and Spunky Blue.
In terms of safety, the MPV continues to offer six airbags, rear parking sensors, hill hold assist, electronic stability control (ESC), and ABS with EBD. Key features include a driver-side power window with auto up/down function, central locking, projector halogen headlamps, manual AC controls, and a tilt-adjustable steering wheel.

Mechanically, the E variant of the Rumion MPV continues with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 102bhp and a peak torque of 139Nm, and is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
