Toyota has updated the Urban Cruiser Taisor with six airbags as standard across all variants. The SUV has also gained a new monotone Bluish Black colour option. The Taisor is priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 13.19 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India) and has four core trims (E, S, G, and V). It competes in the sub-4 metre SUV segment with a range of models like the Mahindra XUV 3XO, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Kia Sonet, the Hyundai Venue, and the Tata Nexon. Here are some more notable features of the Toyota SUV.

The Urban Cruiser Taisor carries forward the overall silhouette of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx but features subtle design changes that give it a Toyota identity. For instance, the SUV gets a distinct honeycomb grille, slightly revised bumpers, and new linear LED DRLs that replace the Fronx’s signature triple-cube layout. The Taisor also stands out with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The Toyota Taisor offers the same engine options as the Fronx on which it is based. The first is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 88.5bhp and 113Nm. It can be had with a 5-speed MT or AMT. The second option is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit that produces 98.6bhp and 147.6Nm, and is paired with either a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. The SUV also comes with a CNG powertrain.
