Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero Edition Launched: What’s New and How Much It Costs

Toyota has launched the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero Edition in India, ahead of the festive season. What's special? The Aero Edition comes with an exclusive aerodynamic styling kit, which includes front and rear spoilers and side skirts. It is available at an additional cost of Rs 31,999 across all authorised dealerships in India. For reference, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder range starts at an ex-showroom price of Rs 10.94 lakh in India. The accessory pack can be added to any Hyryder variant, giving buyers the freedom to personalise their SUV regardless of the trim they choose. The Aero Edition comes in four colours: White, Silver, Black, and Red.

Launched in 2022, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder recently recorded a major sales milestone of over 1.68 lakh units. This achievement reflects Toyota's long-standing expertise in building reliable and performance-driven SUVs. The new Aero Edition adds an extra layer of exclusivity, with design upgrades that increase its bold personality and elevate its presence on Indian roads.

Apart from the new styling package, nothing has changed under the hood of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. It continues to be powered by two engine options: a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine with manual and automatic (torque converter) gearbox choices, and a more efficient 1.5-litre strong-hybrid version.

The strong-hybrid pairs a 3-cylinder engine with an electric motor and uses an e-CVT transmission to produce around 115bhp of maximum power. Notably, this strong-hybrid variant can run purely on electric power for up to 40% of the distance and 60% of the drive time, delivering a fuel economy of 27.97 km/l.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has a Crystal Acrylic Grille, sharp character lines, signature twin LED DRLs, and 17-inch alloy wheels that give it a modern, sporty edge. Inside, the SUV comes equipped with ventilated leather seats, a 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting. Other amenities include wireless charging, USB ports, rear reclining seats, rear AC vents, a 60:40 split-folding rear seat, and a 360-degree camera.
