The festive season will see several automakers like Mahindra, Hyundai, and Mini introduce new or updated models. The recent cut in GST has already lowered prices on many cars, especially sub-4m SUVs, making it a great time for prospective customers to buy. With attractive festive offers, fresh launches, and more affordable pricing, October promises to be a treat for those looking to purchase or upgrade to a new car. Here are some of the most anticipated car launches in October 2025.
Expected Price: Rs 11-18 lakh (ex-showroom)
The facelifted version of the 3-door Mahindra Thar will be among the first major car launches of October. Based on recent spy shots, the SUV is likely to receive notable cosmetic upgrades at the front, including a new grille inspired by the Thar Roxx, redesigned LED headlights, and silver inserts on both front and rear bumpers. The 18-inch alloy wheels remain unchanged, but the rear now features an alloy spare wheel, instead of the steel unit. Additionally, it has the rear camera mounted on it.

Inside, expect updates like a Scorpio-N-style steering wheel, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless phone charging, and a 10.25-inch digital driver display. Mechanically, the Thar facelift is expected to carry forward the same engine options: a 1.5-litre diesel (RWD only), a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 2.2-litre diesel.

Apart from the Thar, Mahindra is also set to launch the updated Bolero Neo in October. According to the most recent spy shots, the facelift will feature a refreshed front fascia with a new grille sporting horizontal slats, repositioned LED DRLs within the headlamp units, and a redesigned lower bumper. Inside, the cabin is expected to offer a more upmarket vibe, with a revised black and dark brown dual-tone theme. Other upgrades may include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, improved soft-touch materials, updated upholstery, and enhanced detailing for a more premium feel. However, feature availability could vary across variants. Mechanically, the facelifted Bolero Neo is likely to continue with the 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder mHawk100 diesel engine, with no confirmed plans for a petrol or hybrid option at this stage.

Mini is set to launch the new Countryman John Cooper Works (JCW) in India on October 14, 2025. This will be the only combustion-engine variant of the Countryman lineup in the country and comes with several sporty design enhancements. Key exterior highlights include a blacked-out grille featuring the signature chequered-flag pattern, a redesigned front bumper with bold air intakes accented in red, and a JCW badge on the C-pillar. The SUV also gets sporty alloy wheels paired with red brake callipers. Inside, the cabin continues the performance-oriented theme with red ambient lighting, contrast red stitching, sporty pedals, and JCW-themed graphics on the infotainment display.
The Countryman JCW has a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and standard all-wheel drive.

Skoda is set to launch the much-anticipated Octavia RS in India on October 17, 2025. Online pre-bookings will open on October 6, with deliveries scheduled to begin exactly a month later. The performance sedan will be limited to just 100 units. It will sport a bold and aggressive design, featuring Skoda’s signature gloss black butterfly grille, Matrix LED headlamps, and sharp V-shaped LED DRLs. The side profile will be accentuated by 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the rear sports slim wraparound LED taillights and a subtle black boot lip spoiler. Inside, the cabin has a sporty all-black theme with red contrast accents. Key amenities include a 3-spoke RS-branded steering wheel with tactile controls, a 13-inch floating touchscreen, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, centre armrests, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and power-adjustable heated front seats. Under the hood, the Octavia RS packs a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Hyundai is gearing up to launch the updated Venue in the coming month, with several enhancements over its predecessor. The front will most likely be inspired by the Exter and Alcazar, while the rear will have revamped taillamps connected by an LED light bar. Inside, the Venue is likely to showcase a major tech improvement, featuring a curved panoramic display that integrates the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Hyundai is also expected to equip the SUV with premium amenities such as auto climate control, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, a powered driver seat, and Level 2 ADAS.

The upcoming new-generation Hyundai Venue is expected to retain its current range of powertrain options. These include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission choices are likely to include a 5-speed manual for the 1.2-litre petrol, a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT) for the turbo-petrol, and a 6-speed manual for the diesel variant. Additionally, Hyundai may introduce a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with the diesel engine.
