Every year, Maruti Suzuki, the most prominent automobile manufacturer in India, releases a range of models. Maruti Suzuki enthusiasts had much to celebrate in 2023 when the eagerly anticipated Jimny 5-door, the Fronx, and the Invicto (a rebadged Innova Hycross) made their market debut. Now, the Indo-Japanes carmaker has already started making plans for 2024 as the current year comes to an end. In 2024, Maruti Suzuki is keen on introducing several significant products in the domestic market. The three new models from the brand that will go on sale in India next year are listed below.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift

One of the most popular hatchbacks in the nation is the first vehicle on the list. Since going on the market in 2005, the hatchback has become popular among both young people and families looking for cars. The next-gen Suzuki Swift was just unveiled in the Japanese market, and an Indian launch is anticipated for the following year. The new Swift is expected to launch early in 2024 and has already been seen undergoing testing in India. The appearance and interior of the upcoming iteration of the Swift will be modified. Even though the international-spec version has rear disc brakes and ADAS, it is unlikely that the India-spec model would have similar characteristics. A brand-new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine will drive the new car. With its dual-purpose architecture, this engine is anticipated to deliver optimal fuel efficiency and improved low-end torque for urban driving.

A potent hybrid powertrain is also anticipated for the soon-to-be-released model. The Swift will be the first vehicle in its class to use this technology when it launches, making it the most fuel-efficient hatchback. The 1.2-litre, three-cylinder engine from the firm will be available with an AMT or 5-speed manual gearbox as options. An e-CVT would be included in the powerful hybrid version. The Swift is projected to cost between Rs 6 and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki eVX

The first electric vehicle made by Maruti Suzuki in India is expected to be on sale the following year. This electric SUV's test mules have been seen driving throughout India on multiple occasions; it is anticipated to go on sale by the end of 2024. The production model of the eVX SUV will resemble the Grand Vitara SUV, which was on display at the 2023 Auto Expo. Two battery pack options are anticipated for the Maruti Suzuki eVX: a 48kWh unit for the base model and a 60kWh unit for the higher variants. Equipped with a big infotainment display, 360-degree camera, advanced driver assistance systems, and additional features, the ex-showroom price tag of the car is likely to start around Rs 23 lakh.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire

One can anticipate an upgraded Dzire sedan following the Maruti Suzuki Swift's arrival. The next Swift will serve as the foundation for the forthcoming Dzire. It seems likely that this compact vehicle will be on sale in the middle of 2024. The all-new Dzire will share a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine with the Swift hatchback. The car will be offered with a 5-speed manual and an AMT transmission, just as the hatchback. According to reports, the Dzire may come in 2024 with a powerful hybrid setup as well. It is anticipated that the Maruti Suzuki Dzire will cost between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
