Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast is planning to expand its footprint in India. After inaugurating its first manufacturing plant outside Vietnam in Tamil Nadu, the company has now filed a design patent for a new 7-seater electric vehicle, the Limo Green. The move highlights VinFast's aim to capture a strong market share in India and establish itself as a strong contender in the growing electric market. For the uninitiated, the company will launch the VF7 and VF6 electric SUVs in India soon. Bookings for both cars are currently underway for a token amount of Rs 21,000. Coming on the Limo Green, the car is marketed as a commercial vehicle in Vietnam. Its launch in India is not officially confirmed.

The VinFast Limo Green looks practical and modern. Its front fascia features a sleek LED light bar stretching across the width, paired with vertically stacked headlamps that deliver a more aggressive and modern appearance than the VF6 and VF7 SUVs. Along the sides, the SUV-inspired stance is emphasised by rugged cladding and 18-inch alloy wheels.

In terms of size, the Limo Green measures 4,740mm long, 1,870mm wide, and 1,728mm tall. It has a 2,840mm of wheelbase. These proportions hint at a spacious and comfort-oriented cabin, which is an essential feature for Indian buyers seeking a premium 7-seater SUV.

The Limo Green is equipped with a floating centre console, leatherette upholstery, and a prominent 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is wired to a four-speaker sound system. The three-row seating configuration can comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers, making it a compelling option for large families and taxi services. For safety, the vehicle comes equipped with four airbags and an electronic parking brake. It currently does not feature ADAS.
In Vietnam, the Limo Green EV is powered by a front-mounted electric motor that delivers 201bhp and 280Nm. It comes equipped with a 60.13kWh battery pack, providing a claimed range of up to 450 kilometres on the NEDC cycle.
