A camouflaged test mule of the VinFast Limo Green has been spied testing, hinting at an imminent India launch.

A couple of months ago, VinFast filed a patent for a seven-seater MPV in India, which seemed to be the Limo Green. The van has now been spied testing under camouflage, hinting at an imminent launch. The Limo Green is sold as a commercial vehicle at its home market in Vietnam, and is solely available with a front-wheel-drive single-motor configuration. The Limo Green might be the third product from the Vietnamese carmaker in India, following the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs.
The spied test mule was camouflaged, but a few design elements could be made out. For instance, it featured a slim light bar at the rear, with the VinFast logo at the centre masked with tape. Moreover, it featured a clean bumper design with no exhaust pipes protruding out of it, confirming the test mule to be an electric vehicle.

While the front fascia of the van wasn’t visible in the spy shots, the third-row window design looked identical to that of the Vietnam-spec Limo Green.
The Vietnam-spec Limo Green comes with a front-mounted electric motor that puts out 201bhp of maximum power and 280Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 60.13kWh battery pack, and an NEDC-claimed range of 450 kilometers.

The MPV measures 4,740mm in length, 1,872mm in width, 1,723mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,840mm. Some of the features available on the global-spec model include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a four-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, and more.

VinFast is yet to confirm any plans to launch the Limo Green in India. If launched, it could go against other similarly-sized electric MPVs like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax 7.
