VinFast has sparked curiosity before the official launch of its electric SUVs, the VF7 and the VF6, by filing new design patents for additional models. While we have already talked about the Limo Green, another car for which the patent has been filed in India is the Minio Green. Just like the Limo, the Minio Green is a commercial model and is already on sale in VinFast's home market. While the Limo Green is a three-row SUV, the Minio Green is a compact, 3-door electric hatch. It is the smallest offering in VinFast's global lineup, and, if launched in India, the hatchback will directly compete with the Comet EV in the entry-level car segment. Read on to know more details about the VinFast Minio Green.

In terms of dimensions, the VinFast Minio Green measures 3,090mm in length, 1,496mm in width, and 1,625mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,065mm. Compared to the MG Comet EV (2,974mm long, 1,505mm wide, and 1,640mm tall, with a 2,010mm wheelbase), the Minio Green is a bit longer and has an extended wheelbase.

The EV's design is minimalist yet eye-catching, combining quirky charm with a retro-futuristic vibe. It comprises round headlamps, sealed grille, plastic cladding along the bumpers, vertically stacked taillamps, flap-style door handles and 13-inch steel wheels. A shark-fin antenna and a compact roof spoiler are also available.
The interior is simple and practical. A digital driver's display serves as the primary interface, showing key information, and there's no central touchscreen infotainment system.
The dashboard has a basic layout with a two-spoke steering wheel and AC vents. As for the features, the car has a 4-way powered driver's seat and a comprehensive safety suite, including ABS with EBD and traction control.
The VinFast Minio Green features a 14.7kWh battery pack that powers a rear-mounted electric motor, producing 27bhp and 65Nm.

The setup allows for a top speed of 80km/h and a range of up to 170 kilometres on the NEDC cycle.
While there are no official announcements from VinFast, we can expect the Minio Green to cost somewhere between Rs 7 to Rs 9 lakh in India. It will compete against the MG Comet EV, which currently starts at Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
