The VF7 will compete against the BYD Sealion 7 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5, while its compact sibling, the VF6, will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, the MG ZS EV, and the Tata Curvv EV.

Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast will announce prices for the much-anticipated VF7 and VF6 electric SUVs in India on September 6, 2025. The local assembly of both models has already commenced at the company's first manufacturing plant in India in Tamil Nadu, while bookings are currently underway for a token amount of Rs 21,000. The VF7 will serve as VinFast's flagship model here, and its prices are expected to fall in the ballpark of Rs 50 lakh. On the other hand, the VF6 could fetch somewhere around Rs 25 lakh (both, ex-showroom). Here's all you need to know about the upcoming VinFast SUVs in India.
The VF7 will be available in India in three variants: Earth, Wind, and Sky. Positioned above the VF6, it will likely measure 4,545mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,636mm in height. The notable design elements include flush-fitting door handles, signature V-shaped LED DRLs, sharp LED headlamps, and a sporty rear diffuser.

Buyers will have a total of colour options (Jet Black, Desat Silver, Crimson Red, Zenith Grey, and Urban Mint) to choose from. These hues will be standard across variants. The interior theme, however, will differ based on the variant selected.
Globally, the electric SUV comes with two different powertrain options. The first is a single front-mounted motor version that churns out 201bhp of max power and 310Nm of peak torque. The WLTP-certified range stands up to 450 kilometres. The second variant features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive, and produces 348bhp and 500Nm. Its range is up to 431 kilometres. It's anticipated that India will get the dual-motor version.

Compared to its bigger sibling, the VF6 will be offered in two variants: Earth and Wind. However, its exterior colour palette will be similar to that of the VF7. Inside, the VF6's cabin comes in all-black for the Earth trim, while the Wind variant features a dual-tone mocha brown and black interior. The e-SUV is likely to be 4,241mm long, 1,834mm wide, and 1,580mm tall.
On the mechanical front, the VF6 is available with a front-wheel-drive and two powertrain options in the international market. The standard variant delivers 174bhp/ 250Nm, and a WLTP-certified range of up to 399 kilometres.
