Virat Kohli becomes one of the 99 owners worldwide of the Audi R8 LMX

The ace cricketer – Virat Kohli – took the delivery of his Audi R8 LMX today from Mr. Joe King, Head, Audi India.

It seems that Indian cricketers have suddenly developed immense interest in automobiles recently. We all know the love and respect Mahendra Singh Dhoni has for motorcycles. Now, the famous Indian cricketer and the captain of the Indian Test Cricket Team – Virat Kohli – has joined the bandwagon. Kohli, today, took the delivery of his Audi R8 LMX from Mr. Joe King, Head, Audi India. What is more interesting is the fact that only 99 of such cars will be produced and delivered worldwide and Kohli has become one of 99 such customers of the Audi R8 LMX.

Commenting on this latest purchase, Virat Kohli said, ““I am delighted with my new limited edition super sports car Audi R8 LMX. I am especially proud and excited to be one of only 99 owners of this special car. I have always loved automobiles and have been an admirer of Audi. I already own an Audi R8 and Audi Q7. I am looking forward to some exciting drives with this new machine.”

This Audi R8 is the most powerful Audi car ever as it produces 570bhp of power with the help of the seven-speed S tronic gearbox which transfers the power to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. To top it all, the car crosses the 0-100km/h mark in just 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320km/h. Bu the highlight of the car is its Laser high beam lighting which increases the range and safety, offering illumination range up to 500 metres.
