Volkswagen launches 2015 Vento, starting at Rs 7.85 lakh

Volkswagen has rolled out the facelifted Vento at a starting price of Rs 7.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new Vento features alloy wheels, more powerful fog lamps, integrated cornering lights, and all new front grille. Plenty of chrome has been used on the lining of the boot lid, exhaust tip and door handles.

On the power unit front, one gets to choose between a 1.5-litre four-cylinder TDI turbo diesel engine and a 1.2-litre TSI petrol unit. The The former churns out 105 PS of power and clocks a fuel economy figure of 21.50 kmpl, as per ARAI ratings. The petrol engine, on the other hand, delivers the same amount of power but a reduced fuel efficiency of 16.09 kmpl.

Interiors feature subtle changes and additions, such as an all new cooled glove box and new colour scheme of ‘Walnut desert beige’ and ‘Cloud-Titanschwarz’.

Safety is a paramount importance for Volkswagen and the Vento comes fitted with ABS, ESP and Hill-Hold function in selected variants. Dual front air-bags, on the other hand, come standard in all models, as you would expect from a VW car.
