Volkswagen Polo and Vento Matte Edition launched

Volkswagen is doing a special edition of the Polo and the Vento. This new Matte Edition is more in line with the Skoda Rapid Matte Edition that was launched recently.

Just yesterday, Skoda India launched the Matte Edition of the Rapid for Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, Volkswagen Group has introduced the Matte Edition of the Volkswagen Polo and the Vento as well.

The Volkswagen Polo GT Matte Edition has been priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). While the Polo Matte Edition is available in one single variant, the Vento Matte Edition is offered in two variants – Highline AT and Highline Plus AT. The Volkswagen Vento Highline AT is priced at Rs 11.94 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus AT is priced at Rs 13.34 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new edition cars come painted in Carbon Steel Grey colour finished in matte. The mirror caps and the door handles are finished in gloss black to offer a contrasting effect.

Mechanically, the Matte Edition Polo and the Vento are the same as their respective standard cars. The engine on offer is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor that is mated to a six-speed torque converter automatic. The power figures are 108bhp and 175Nm.

Currently, if you are in the market for a matte coloured special edition car, you have the option of a hatchback (Volkswagen Polo GT), two sedans (Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid) or a mid-size crossover-SUV (Kia Seltos X Line).
