Volkswagen has revealed the prices for the updated Taigun in India less than a week after showcasing it. The all-new SUV carries a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 10.99 lakh, while pre-launch bookings are already underway for a token amount of Rs 11,000. While the updated Taigun retains the same core design, it gets a few changes that make it look sharper and more commanding on the road. The variant lineup includes Comfortline, Highline, Highline Plus, Topline, GT Line, GT Plus Chrome, and GT Plus Sport.
The new Taigun comes with Volkswagen’s assured buyback program, which promises up to 75% of the ex-showroom price as residual value for ownership up to three years or 30,000 km (T&C apply). The package also includes exchange benefits and hassle-free upgrade options. This limited-time offer will apply to bookings until May 31, 2026. Check the prices and other features of the new Taigun.

The Taigun keeps the same profile, but it now follows Volkswagen’s global design philosophy. It gets a redesigned grille with an integrated light band, illuminated logos (front and rear), new 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome-finished door handles, and elevated silver roof rails, welcome and goodbye lighting animations, reworked bumpers, and connected LED taillamps.

The interior of the updated mid-size SUV now looks more refined and sportier. It comes equipped with a flat-bottom steering wheel with red highlights, leatherette seats with contrast stitching, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof. Other amenities include a 6-speaker sound system, 6-way powered and ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, and a wireless charger.

For safety, the Taigun SUV offers front and rear parking sensors, six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, an electronic differential lock, an auto-dimming IRVM, hill-hold assist, and electronic stability control (ESC).
Volkswagen has kept the engine lineup of the new Taigun unchanged, meaning you’ll continue to get a choice between 1-litre turbo-petrol TSI (113.4bhp/178Nm) or 1.5-litre turbo-petrol TSI (148bhp/250Nm). That said, it has introduced a new 8-speed automatic gearbox for the smaller TSI engine, replacing the previously offered 6-speed unit. The 1.5-litre TSI unit continues with the DSG transmission, but variants equipped with it now come with rear disc brakes.
