Spy shots of the Volkswagen Taigun Facelift have surfaced online, giving a peek into what to expect from the updated compact SUV. The spotted mule, as seen in the images, wears minimal camouflage, revealing a range of design changes. These include a revised front fascia that appears to share some elements with the Volkswagen Tiguan and the Tayron. The LED headlights are slimmer and are connected by a central LED light strip featuring an illuminated logo. The compact SUV also sports updated front and rear bumpers, a reworked grille with twin chrome strips, and taillamps with revised internal lighting elements. Rounding off the updates, the facelifted Taigun is expected to feature a new set of alloy wheel designs.
The most recent spy images do not reveal anything about the cabin of the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun facelift. Industry reports, however, suggest that the updated compact SUV could receive a number of new features. You can expect a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof.

The SUV may also feature powered and ventilated front seats, and higher variants could get rear seats with a massage function (a feature introduced on the new Skoda Kushaq).
Mechanically, the Volkswagen Taigun facelift is expected to carry forward its existing turbo-petrol powertrain options. The entry-level 1.0-litre TSI engine will likely continue with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while an 8-speed torque converter automatic (recently introduced on the Kushaq) could also be offered. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre TSI unit will likely continue exclusively with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
With several cosmetic and feature updates, the new Volkswagen Taigun is likely to command a noticeable premium over the current model, which is priced between Rs 10.58 lakh and Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will continue to rival the Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, and the upcoming Tata Sierra.
